Brief Info about Facebook

In the past couple years Facebook has become the most popular social networking websites on the net. Myspace used to be the most popular with the most members, however as time went by Facebook has been the network to join.

It was founded in 2004 by a Harvard dropout, Mark Zuckerberg. The office is pretty tight (trust me), almost like Google, it’s a pretty chill place. The site used to only allow college students, students back then used to only be allowed to join by there college email address. However as time went by they opened the site to high school students, and eventually to all people.

Ads

Now to the ads part. The purpose of Facebook was to provide users with a simple site without any ads whatsoever. Facebook overtime grew to 400 employees and needed a source of income. So what did they do? Instead of allowing companies to come and buy ad spots they allowed users to post there own.

Facebook ads is good for people running there own e-commerce business or affiliate offers.

Targeting Audience:

The best part of Facebook ads is that you get to decide which age group you want to target, the geographical area, relationship status (good for promoting dating offers I suppose), and so on.
Once an ad is made Facebook approves the ad and once it’s published your ad begins to run to your target audience.

Budget:

With facebook you get to decide your daily budget, and you pre deposit your money to run ads.

Hot Offers

This is a brief post of what you should promote that are money making offers.

With the the news of the financial crisis affiliates often think that people will stop spending money online.

The truth is in some cases it's true, and in some cases it's completely false.

With the economic ruin I highly recommend promoting financial offers.

Offers that do with money, credit, grants, and so on.

Financial offers is where the money is at.

Keeping in Touch w/ Your potential customers

Email marketing a great way to let readers and potential customers be updated with your latest posts (apart from RSS feed), its a great way to keep in touch with customers. You can also ask for suggestions from your customers.

How do you collect email accounts?

There are a couple actions you can take to collect these emails. One technique is the obvious, post a "sign up for our newsletter" link up. The other is to offer something free, like an eBook. eBooks' are becoming a very popular way bloggers use to attract more readers. Why? Its a free way to gain readers. Remember to offer an eBook related to your website.

Do Not Spam. Do Not Collect Emails Illegally from people selling them. Its not a good idea. If your caught you can be prosecuted... Its better to do it the legal way.

good luck!

Successful marketing takes patience

If you are sure that your website is capable of attracting a lot of traffic and generate a substantial amount of sales for a certain company, you need to contact them to negotiate some sort of business agreement. They might not be as enthusiastic in the beginning, but don't let that put you down. Be patient because companies are approached everyday by affiliates just like you wanting to cut a deal.

This business is unpredictable, so you can't really make any promises. Companies are aware of this thats why they have second thoughts when recieving an offer from you regarding an arrangement. It might take a little while to gain some attention, post there ads on your website and see how it goes. Make sure you have a marketing strategy in place so that users can know that your website actually exists.

Hey who knows these companies who have second thoughts might have a change of heart.

good luck!

Facebook Ads

First of all I would like to apoligize for the lack of posts. Obviously this is the reason for the dramatic drop in readership...
Today I would like to introduce a great way to promote your program. Facebook is a great tool for networking and is one of the most popular websites in todays' day and age for people of all ages, high school, college, and company employees to connect with each other.

One thing I like about Facebook is the fact that they don't have annoying ads... They have ads that are relevent to you and your interests...

This is where you come in. Create ads on Facebook. Buy clicks and create a great banner (using Facebook ads)... Set a budget, set your target audience and your set.

I've been experimenting with this and have got a good response. Start out with a low budget (i.e $20 a day, 4 cents a click... that'll buy you around 500 clicks. On average for ever 100, at least 2-5 end up buying something.. giving you the chance to earn some commision.

Old Marketing Tactics Work Too

Forget the internet for a second.
I wasn't around a couple decades ago when the only way to market a product was to either:

Print ads
TV
Radio
Classifieds
Direct Mail
Local "distribution channels

Whats the difference now?

The internet. Thats the difference. However don't think that the old ways aren't good ways to market either. Chances are for a beginner you don't have enough money to run a commercial.. However posting the classifieds your website, and sometimes a few hundred bucks for it to be broadcasted over the radio isn't that bad either.

The point? Don't always think marketing is online. It isn't. You can do it offline aswell.
